Cake Care
Should I refrigerate my cake?
Most of our cakes can be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. However, certain cakes that contain perishable ingredients like cream frosting, fresh fruit, ice cream, mascarpone, or whipped cream are better off refrigerated.
How soon should I consume my cake after delivery?
Our cakes are best consumed within 3 to 5 days.
Do you have any advice on how to transport my cake when I pick up?
Our large Cakes can weigh up to 7 kg. If you have ordered a two-teir cake, we would suggest bringing someone to assist you to carry the cake into your vehicle.
To prevent any damage, hold the cake from the bottom of the box. Try to keep it as level as possible and avoid tilting the cake box.
During transportation, place the cake on a level surface such as the car floor or boot. Drive carefully and make sure your vehicle is cool to prevent the cake from melting. Turn off your heating or turn on your air conditioning.
How do I cut my cake?
If you have ordered one of our mini cakes, we recommend you cut your cake on a flat surface into equal portions. For a large cake (6-8 inches), cut the entire cake in half, place it on its side, and then cut the cake into cubed slices. Two-tier cakes are held together at the centre with a dowel to keep the cake upright due to their size. Ensure that the dowel is removed before slicing.
What if my cake gets damaged while I am transporting it?
Once your cake has been collected from our premises, Lubees Creations is not liable for any damages caused to your cake during transportation. In certain instances, we may be able to advise you on what to do, but this is not guaranteed. Please refer to our full Terms and Conditions for further information.
