Refund & Cancellation Policy

For Birthday & Wedding Cakes

We take great pride in creating custom cakes for your most important moments. Because all our cakes are handmade and made to order, we kindly ask you to read and agree to the following policy:

Deposits & Payments

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your order.
  • For wedding cakes, the balance is due 4 weeks before the event.
  • For birthday cakes and other celebration cakes, the balance is due 1 week before collection or delivery.
  • Orders are not confirmed until the deposit is received.

    Cancellations

  • Birthday Cakes:
    • More than 5 days’ notice: balance refunded, deposit retained.
    • Less than 5 days: no refund.
  • Wedding Cakes:
    • More than 4 weeks’ notice: balance refunded, deposit retained.
    • 2–4 weeks’ notice: 50% of the full payment retained.
    • Less than 2 weeks: no refund.

Changes to Orders

  • Minor changes (e.g. colours, names) must be requested at least:
    • 5 days before birthday cakes
    • 4 weeks before wedding cakes
  • Major design changes may not be possible close to the event and may incur additional charges.

Delivery & Collection

  • Once your cake is collected or delivered and accepted, we are no longer responsible for any damage.
  • If we deliver your cake, we ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Please have someone available to receive it.

Issues or Concerns

If you are unhappy with your cake:

  • Please contact us on the day of collection or delivery with clear photos and an explanation.
  • If we agree there’s an issue (e.g., the cake is not as described or damaged on arrival), we may offer a partial refund, replacement, or future credit.
  • We do not offer refunds based on personal taste preferences.

Force Majeure

We cannot be held liable for events outside our control (e.g. illness, travel disruption, weather). In such cases, we will aim to:

  • Offer a credit or reschedule
  • Refer you to another trusted baker
  • Or issue a partial refund where possible

By placing an order with Lubees Creations, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are designed to ensure transparency and mutual respect between our business and our valued customers.

  1. Orders & Customisation
  • All cakes are made to order based on the details provided by you.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure all information (e.g. date, design, flavour, size, message) is correct.
  • We may send design sketches or reference ideas where necessary, but final designs are subject to artistic interpretation.
  1. Payments & Deposits
  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all orders to secure your booking.
  • No order is confirmed without the deposit.
  • The remaining balance must be paid by:
  • Wedding Cakes: 4 weeks before delivery/collection
  • Birthday & Celebration Cakes: 5 days before delivery/collection
  • Failure to pay the balance may result in cancellation of your order and loss of deposit

  • Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • No refunds will be given for:
  • Orders cancelled late
  • Change of mind
  • Subjective preferences (e.g. “too sweet”, “not my colour”)
  • Refunds (partial or full) will only be considered if the product is faulty or not as described and reported immediately upon delivery/collection.4.Allergies & Dietary Requirements
  • Our products are made in a kitchen that handles allergens including eggs, dairy, nuts, wheat (gluten), and soya.
  • We cannot guarantee any product is free from trace allergens, even if requested.
  • It is your responsibility to inform us of any allergies when placing your order.

  • Delivery charges apply and will be discussed at the time of booking.
  • Once a cake is delivered or collected and accepted, we are no longer responsible for damage.
  • If no one is available to receive the cake at the agreed time, it may be returned to us and you will be responsible for redelivery costs.
  1. Design Variations
  • Colours and designs may vary slightly due to lighting, ingredients, or creative interpretation.
  • We do not guarantee exact replicas of third-party designs (e.g. from Pinterest or Instagram).
  1. Photos & Promotion
  • We reserve the right to photograph your cake for promotional use on our website and social media.
  • If you do not wish for your cake to be shared publicly, please notify us in writing.
  1. Customer Responsibility
  • You are responsible for transporting, storing, and displaying the cake safely after collection or delivery.
  • Keep cakes refrigerated if advised, and away from heat, sunlight, and moisture.
  • We are not liable for damage resulting from poor handling or incorrect storage.
  1. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to deliver due to events beyond our control, such as illness, extreme weather, or supply chain issues. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule, offer store credit, or refund where appropriate.
